SUMMARY:INEDIT Commission World Premier in Paris
DESCRIPTION:The INEDIT project has commissioned the swedish composer Jesper Nordin\, showcasing The Authoring of Time and Interaction involving partners' research in a piece of music\, to be premiered on June 13th 2015 in the prestigious Ircam Manifeste Festival.\n\nRendezvous: Ensemble TM+\, June 13\nRemarkable ensembles\, soloists\, and symphony orchestras during concerts\, festivals\, and on the radio worldwide regularly perform Jesper Nordin’s music (with its obvious influences from Sweedish folk music\, rock\, and improvised music).  Nordin has received several prestigious awards for his music in Europe and in the United States as well as a recommendation from UNESCO’s International Rostrum of Composers in 2005. Nordin has studied at the Royal College in Stockholm\, at IRCAM in Paris\, and at Stanford University in the United States. Among his professors\, we can cite Pär Lindgren\, Philippe Leroux\, and Brian Ferneyhough. From 2004 to 2006 he was a composer-in-residence at P2\, the Swedish radio’s serious music channel. In 2006\, the Swedish radio broadcast the portrait-CD Residues that includes a number of his works for orchestra\, but also for chorus\, soloists\, and electronics.\n“Exformation” is everything that we don’t really say but think when we are silent: a gestural exchange. Creator of Gestrument for nomadic applications\, Jesper Nordin imagined the control of the electronics decentralized\, given to each of the ensemble’s soloists\, while continuing to analyze the predominate role of the conductor whose every gesture is significant. Laurent Cuniot’s relationship with technology is one of confrontation of writing (instrumental and electroacoustic)\, the declination of the connection between the soloist musician with the electronics and the instrumental ensemble: from synergy to head-on opposition. A prelude\, four movements\, and a postlude strung together.\n\n\n\nGeneviève Strosser viola\nEnsemble TM+\nConductor Marc Desmons\nIRCAM Computer Music Design Serge Lemouton\, Manuel Poletti\nScenography Gilles Perez De La Vega\n\n\nIVAN FEDELE Immagini da Escher\nLAURENT CUNIOT Reverse Flows\, commissioned by the French government Premiere\nJESPER NORDIN Sculpting the air\, commissioned by IRCAM-Centre Pompidou and Grame\, centre national de création musicale\, as a part of the ANR INEDIT project with the support of Statens Musikwerk – Music development and heritage Sweden Premiere
